Cops bash MANA protestors at Glenn Innes eviction protest

Last night, with no media presence whatsoever, Police Officers used violent tactics against John Minto, MANA activists and protestors against the eviction and privatization of state houses in Glenn Innes. Four were arrested, many more assaulted and a local housing leader was badly wounded in the head and left lying on the ground in a seizure.

Socialist Aotearoa has the eye witness reports.

The call has gone out to all activists and media to assemble for the protest tonight. If the Police think they can get away with beating protestors up while Media aren't there, let's show them how ill founded that notion is tonight.

From 5.30pm tonight at the Glenn Innes Library, Line Road, Glenn Innes, MANA Party leader Hone Harawira will be present to attend another night of protest against this privatization of state homes and send a message to the Police that we are watching their behavior.

No cell phones to get this alleged police brutality on video either...seems odd in this day and age.

Well I wonder what has made the scummy piggy sockpuppets crawl out from under their rocks in here of all places. Guilty consciences? Looks like one of them has been stupid enuff to put his/her real pic on his post.
