The Nation
The Nation wasn't on Sunday 8am so I didn't see it. Has the season ended already? Why doesn't their press department ever send out information like TVNZ always does?

q+a
The terrible story of the trapped miners dominates the show. You feel for the families who are hurting and the frustration of the time it is taking. Poor buggers. Good luck to everyone involved in the hard work of rescuing the miners.

Kris Faafoi is on, he was such a shit candidate and his utter failure was only saved by Labour's party machine on the ground, I've blogged my criticisms of the result here.

Paul should be bashing Faafoi and Faafoi is lucky he gets away with a mild grilling.

The panel are critical of the low turn out and give more weight to that than any love for National. Conner English makes the shrewd point that it gives the left a lot less to crow about in the wake of the shift to the left from the local body elections.

There is no such thing as a safe seat anymore.

Back to the West Coast, it is not the time to start blaming anyone as it is still a rescue mission, but if there is any shred of truth to the Herald on Sunday report, Pike River Coal will be facing a national lynch mob.

The Nation wasn't on on Sunday because yesterday's live The Nation was a two-hour special on the mine, which would have been senseless to repeat.

p.s. Good call on Conor English's shrewd remark. Look ... actual insight!
